That is to say it’s time for dawgbones.com to present my annual mock draft. This year I decided to go a full seven rounds because the Browns have at least one pick in every round – at least as of the time this article was written. Before we get started, let’s lay down some rules, notes and disclaimers for this mock draft:
*This is a no-trades mock draft. Although trades happen every year, it’s far too difficult to project who’ll trade up or down by the time you’re half-way through the draft. I’m trying to keep it simple, folks, because I’m not getting any younger.
*Selections highlighted in gold are compensatory picks and cannot be traded by NFL rules.
*In previous years I included a section for comments on individual picks. I chose not to do it this year because I expanded from four rounds to seven. Again, I’m trying to keep it simple. It may return next year if I get enough feedback from our respected viewers, but as of now, I have no immediate plans to do so.
